Genre Trailers - 'Greta'

 

  • Two strangers meet and the female protagonist doesn’t realise that the antagonist has set her up
  • Greta, the antagonist is very calculated. (When we find out that she places the bags on the trains herself for outsiders to come to her)
  • The antagonist (Greta) starts off as a very friendly person that is hiding dark secrets (This is another convention as the protagonist is lured into a force friendship)
  • The disruption in the narrative is when Francis (the main female) discovers the bags in the cupboard
  • Another convention nation is the music is very mysterious and spooky (This reflects the psychological element)
  • The narrative changes when Greta’s secret is revealed and she becomes obsessive with Francis to the point of danger

  • The background of the antagonist in this genre always has a troubled past which leads them to their crimes and psychological issues
