• Close up shot of female which is eye catching and prominent and given more insight in the genre. ( horror )
• The main actors are listed such as David Arquette which again is a convention
• The production crew and companies are listed at the bottom of the poster which is another key convention
• A marketing technique used ‘the highly acclaimed new thriller’ which is a key convention on posters as they try to show how good the film is going to be by a successful director ‘Wes Craven’
• The colours used are black and white which reflects the horror genre and the look of fear on the females face, which again reinforces the genre to the audience. This is a key convention in posters to make the genre recognisable to the audience
