Potential Production Companies 5 - Blumhouse

Blumhouse Productions is known for its unique approach to film making within the horror genre, including producing 'The Black Phone', 'Happy Death Day', 'The Boogeyman', 'Oculus' and 'Ouija'. 

Their films often have a low budget but often do really well at the box office. They can take creative risks but bring in large revenue. 

Some of their most popular franchises include ‘The Paranormal Activity’ franchise and the ‘Insidious’ series. Both these sets of films have been very successful and have been praised for effective scares and storytelling. 

Other films that they have produced have been made by horror auteur Jordan Peele including ‘Get Out’ and ‘Us’, which combined horror and social commentary and have been praised for being original and inspiring.

In conclusion, Blumhouse Productions has made a huge impact on the horror genre by producing films that have delivered success both financially and critically. For this reason I will be choosing Blumhouse Productions as my production company.
